Special announcement

Unfortunately, Nola Needles Sewing Club will be closed throughout the summer as Ms. Ava goes through breast cancer treatment. This is the first time we haven't held our summer sewing program in 8 years and we miss you!

We are hoping to offer a holiday sewing camp in December. We will make an announcement about our reopening, but please feel free to check in to make inquiries -- or to send a word of encouragement by texting 504-919-3699.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Sewing Camps

Summer & Holiday Camps for Kids & Teens

NOLA Needles also offers 1- to 5-day sewing camps during most school holidays and throughout the summer. Projects are tailored to length of time, student interest, and skill level.

One of our favorites, pictured:
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - This camp was dedicated as a day of service where our sewing students made potholders for a local food bank.

Birthdays, Showers & Craft Parties

NOLA Needles also offers craft and sewing parties for birthdays or bridal or baby showers. We can even help you put together a charitable craft party where participants sew or craft items to donate.

While most of our birthday party requests are for girls between 7 and 13, we can help you throw a craft or sewing party for participants of every age — and interested men and boys are always welcome! Some of the party services we offer include:
  • project planning, setup, & instruction in your home, church, or meeting place
  • project consultation and craft-kit set up for DIYers who need no instruction but need a hand with planning
  • age-, skill-, and occasion-appropriate crafts & sewing projects
